On offer in this listing, is a late vintage or antique silver-plated fish cutlery set, cased in a mahogany box, with the original cushioned and ruffled burgundy satin and felt lining.
 
All 12 pieces of the set – 6 knives and 6 forks – are present and in generally excellent condition.
 
Emblazoned in gold on the lining on the underside of the box lid stands written; “By Special Appointment” and “P. Orr & Sons”, “Goldsmiths & Silversmiths”, “Madras”.
 

The case is 39cm wide, 27cm deep, and 7cm tall. The forks of the set are 20cm long, and the knives 23cm. All handles are firmly attached – this set is in excellent overall functional and aesthetic condition. Both knives and forks feature a stem, leaf and floral pattern.
