Book and wrapper still good - Neat previous ownership inside. >>> Born in London, British children's author Betty Laws was the daughter of dentist, chemist and optician John Joseph Laws. She was educated at the Old Grange School, Hampstead-on-Thames, and lived in Hammersmith and Putney for a time. Laws is primarily remembered for her five girls' school stories, although she did write another children's novel, Ariel's Friend (1924).
