This LCD 16x2 White on Blue Display is a small HD44780-based screen capableofdisplaying up to 16 characters and 2 lines in alphanumerical or JapaneseKanacharacters, with space for up to 8 extra characters or symbols or“Foreigncharacters” of your choice as well. Thanks to the serial input I2Cbackpackthat is preinstalled on this display unit, it can be operated via only4 pins(VCC, GND, SDA, SCL), making it ideal for small projects in which usablepincounts are low, but the project still requires its own IndependentVisualInterfaces.

The serial module is a LCM1602 using a PCF8574T controller IC
The blue backlight current is less then 40mA for this LCD.
