LEATHER COUCH~3 SEATER~IVORY COLOUR~ MADE IN ITALY~AS NEW
This couch is a beautiful leather 3 seater and rests on four attractive squarish wooden feet. It is ivory in colour which is an ideal neutral shade. It looks very stylish accessorised with colourful or black cushions. This couch is large and comfortable - very easy to fall asleep on while watching television. It was bought as one of a twin pair of couches from Design Plus Interiors in Sandton City in September 2005. Each couch cost R8,000.00. They were ordered from Italy and arrived in November 2005.
We have used one of the couches constantly for three years, but this one that we are selling has had almost no use because it didn’t face the TV. It is spotless and shows no signs of any wear or use at all. The couch that we used is still in excellent condition which gives a good indication of the quality of its twin. There is only one small fault to report and that is what appears to be a crease mark in the leather on the front base of the couch just under the middle cushion. I think it was caused by strapping that was used to hold the covering on the couch during its shipping from Italy. I have tried to show this in a close up photo (see photo on the right). It is not a serious fault but I think the buyer should be aware.
The starting price is R100.00 and there is no reserve. We are down-sizing as we are moving and very reluctantly and sadly, we have to part with this lovely couch. I think it will make a good cosy TV companion for someone for many years. It’s twin has for us so far.
MEASUREMENTS approximate: Length of back: 214cm; Height of back from floor: 93cm; Depth of arms 95cm; Height of seat from floor: 48cm; Depth of seat to back cushion: 52cm; Length of seating between arm rests: 171cm.
COLLECTION: The buyer to arrange collection from my home. I am unable to store the couch as we are moving very soon, so the buyer will have to make arrangements for collection as soon as possible after the close of the auction. Please be aware that this couch is large and very heavy so adequate lifting manpower is necessary.
