Lebeckia cytisoides also known as Calobota cytisoides is an attractive, yellow-flowered shrub which is widespread in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Lebeckia cytisoides commonly known as Ganna, Geelertjiebos or Kristinabos in Afrikaans and Bush Ganna in English forms an erect, multi-stemmed, unarmed shrub of up to 2 m in height. The branches are green and the young branches are silky while older branches are silky to pilose with brown bark. The leaves are alternate and digitately trifoliolate to rarely 5-foliolate. The inflorescence is racemose with 7 to 25 flowers and appears from June to November (late winter to spring). The flowers are large and bright yellow. Lebeckia cytisoides is a common and widely distributed species. It can be found from Oudtshoorn through to Montagu and Worcester, and northwards to around Nieuwoudtville.
