This is a made in Japan series lens with a metal barrel and metal lens mount. This lens is a Very highly regarded optic considered to be "Legendary" because of its incredible sharpness and resolution for detail.

This lens allows for uses doing macro work at a 1:1 ratio (life size) in addition to making a fantastic standard lens. This lens provides excellent quality and color rendition that is outstanding. This lens is also known for its extraordinary bokeh and performance. It offers a nice preset aperture design and since it is in M42 Universal Screw Mount, it is VERY easy to adapt to basically any camera system; film and digital alike.
