Lenovo 3000 C100 Laptop

This laptop was bought in England and has been used for about 2 years.

The screen has a scratch which you can see in the pictures. The base of the laptop has been drilled and there is a hole in the bottom near the CPU which was done for ventilation as this laptop has an overheating problem. It is however FULLY WORKING EXCEPT THE CPU FAN.

With a little technical/DIY know how you could modify a case fan in to the place of the old Cpu fan which failed. My idea was to power it using the USB hub power which is nearby and this would just require two solder points. However  I have not done it as I am going to upgrade.

It comes with the battery which holds about an hours and 20 minutes charge and the plug in charger. I will ship it with Windows XP Home preinstalled and the license key is at the base and in tact.

The lid has wear and tear scratches but nothing more all catches etc work correctly.

What I have done to overcome the overheating temporaraily is install SpeedswitchXP which lowers the CPU operating speed to half standard. This allows the CPU to run cooler and the machine will not switch of to protect itself from overheating. It does work well which is why I haven't been so bothered to fix the hardware cooling.
