LET MY PEOPLE GO BY ALBERT LUTHULI
Albert Luthuli, the author of this autobiography, is one of the most important figures in South Africa. Grandson of a Zulu chief, he became successively shoolmaster, local chief, and in 1952 President of the chief African political organisation, the African National Congress. Both before and after he became a leader of African opinion, Luthuli has thrown the whole weight of his influence against violence and in favour of a multi-racial society based on justice and equality.
