Lettuce 150 seed "Royal red"

LETTUCE: Lettuce is a hardy, fast-growing annual vegetablewith either loose or compact leaves. Leaf color ranges from light greenthrough reddish brown. When it bolts, or goes to seed, the flowerstalks are 2 to 3 feet tall, with small, yellowish flowers on thestalk. With so many types of lettuce to choose from, home gardenerswill never become bored with this garden favorite.

Royal Red Lettuce: Leaf type, mid size head, red, wide smooth leaf, 50 days.

Maroon-red, deeply cut and finely divided leaves, very attractive intossed salad. Plants make large rosettes. Long-standing, slow to bolt,can be harvested over period of time. Harvest about 50 days aftersowing. Thin initially to stand 3-4 in. apart when 1-2 in. high. Wait2-3 weeks, thin out alternate plants for final spacing of 6-8 in.
