This monitor is in very good condition, but there are some flaws on the display as described below.
Lightning struck the telephone cable, blew my modem etc. and all the high voltages left a strange colour effect on the monitor. It is very similar to the effect you would get when holding speakers or a magnet close to a monitor, except, this damage seems to be permanent. The monitor is still fairly useable despite the damage and I almost feel that it's a pity I have to let it go since it is such a high quality device, but I have upgraded to LCD in the meanwhile. In the photos below, the dark/damaged spots are most noticeable in the pages where I have opened Notepad and Excel (with the white backgrounds), as you can see colour images looks quite normal, so it is really useable.
