This huge medallion was struck in copper or bronze to commemorate the centenary of the town of Lichtenburg.

The obverse reads: “Centenary / Eeufees 100 1873/1973 Lichtenburg” The reverse shows an un-inscribed laurel wreath.

Please see following picture and note that the medallion is in better condition than the picture suggests…
