Hard cover with jacket. Lovely red boards with gilt lettering to spine. Binding intact, 768 pages, maps. Clean inside. Signature and dated address of previous owner on front end page. Jacket has a two centimeter tear at spine top end. A lovely copy, first published in 1970 by Cassell & Company. The author, Captain Sir Basil Liddell Hart's one volume on World War Two was commissioned in 1947 by the publisher, but Hart only was satisfied in 1969 that the printer could be given the text. Hart was honoured as an outstanding teacher-historian. A copy for the serious collector of World War Two books.
