Imke trou halsoorkop met Mark Parker en kom tot haar skok agter dis eintlik Robert, sy broer, wie se naam op die huweliksertifikaat staan. Die Parker-naam moet ten alle koste beskerm word, en Imke en Robert besluit om die charade te leef tot sy haar groenkaart en hy sy wynplaas in Frankryk gekry het. Dan sal hulle paaie skei.

Dis toe nie so maklik om platonies, én boonop getroud, saam in een huis te woon nie. Gaandeweg besef Imke haar liefde is geanker in Robert, terwyl hy weet sy lewe sonder die kern van sy hart, sy vuurvreter-Imke, sal nooit weer dieselfde wees nie, al beland hulle voornemende egskeiding dan ook op die rotse.
