The Boss FS-5U (U for unlatched) is a rugged, silver-coloured, non-latching (momentary) footswitch (pedal) designed for controlling parameters like keyboard sustain, tap tempo, effect bypass, or phrase recording/stopping on amps, delays, and loopers.
It can be neatly mounted onto other FS-5L/FS-5U/FS-6 pedals via the rails on the sides.
It has a polarity switch for compatibility with a range of gear.
I will throw in a 2.5 m 1/4" TS straight-to-right-angle cable.
Condition: Excellent; only used a few times.
Reason for selling: I had an event sound/AV company, which closed. I used this pedal for tap-tempo on FOH delay when mixing a couple of times.
Note that this is perfect as a sustain pedal for keyboards - it would behave like a sustain pedal on a real acoustic piano: While you hold the pedal down you get sustain. As soon as you release the pedal, you lose the sustain.
Or as Google puts it: "A momentary pedal only activates the sustain while you are actively holding it down, mimicking the behaviour of an acoustic piano pedal. A latching pedal would click on and stay on, which is not suitable for typical piano playing."
