This is the T-mobile LG G-Slate. Like new Dual Core (Tegra II, pretty much the top of the line tablet), basically the same hardware and software as the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet, but it is a 8.9" screen with higher resolution than the ipad II. Its 3G and Wifi enabled and the 3G is unlocked for any network. Works with any SA cell network. It is really a pleasure to use on the MTN network. Internet anywhere.
Its 32 GB storage space, which is huge. It will play HD video. It uses the dedicated nvidia graphics chipset of the Tegra II for graphics and video. Full 3D high paced Android games are a pleasure on the device.
Its running Android 3.0 (Honecomb) which it runs very well. Really beautiful software.
I got this device to replace my iPad primarily because its sized better for what I do. I do a lot of documents and typing and because of the width of the ipad, I find it difficult to use. So I got the LG G-Slate, which was the only Android Table that is sized close to the small Galaxy but has a LOT more strength (processing power, storage space, battery life, etc.). That's why I got this one and its done very well by my expectations.
The device is in like-new condition. I couldn't find any scratches on the screen (and its been in its leather case since I bought it). There are very minor scuffs on the back of the device, where the leather case obviously has some motion on the back. But nothing but very minor cosmetic stuff. The device is in perfect working order.
Again, on the 3G, it is a T-mobile device, but it is fully unlocked for any network. I've personally used it on virgin, cell c, MTN. I also know it works on 8ta and Vodacom.
I'm including the original accessories pictured above, however, I do not have the actual box it came in anymore. So it will come in a well packed generic box.
Here are some of the data from engadget.com's review of the device:
Performance and battery life
We found browsing and general tableting to be a very responsive experience on the G-Slate. Pages are rendered quickly and respond handily to swipes, drags, pinches, and whatever other caresses you want to throw their way.
Battery life tests were nearly identical as well. We had no problem making it through a full day of solid usage, surfing and gaming and generally loving life. But, when we sat down to our video loop test, with WiFi on and display brightness at about 65 percent, we scored eight hours and 18 minutes.
The 8.9-inch, glossy, 1,280 x 768 display is a bit shorter and skinnier than the Xoom's 10.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 display. This gives it a slightly higher pixel density and, indeed, you can tell the difference. With the Xoom, the pitch on the pixels seemed a bit broad -- jagged edges appear on text and in high-contrast areas. The G-Slate's screen definitely has a sharper, crisper look.
Pushing the pixels is a dual-core, 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, which continues to be super trendy. It's running at 1GHz here and keeps things moving smoothly. That's backed by 32GB of internal storage that is not user-expandable.
For connectivity, a slew of antennas are included here. There is, of course, WiFi and Bluetooth, but the G-Slate is a tri-band UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ device, meaning it's sorta 4G right here and now.
On the back are not one but two HD camera holes, with a little LED flash sitting off to the side of one. They're five megapixel each, capable of recording 1080p video when using one or 720p when you're calling on the pair to capture in 3D. Around the other side a two megapixel shooter peeks out from behind the glass.
