Our Northamptonshire Cottage, built from the beautiful mellow Cotswold limestone and thatched with reeds may well have been inhabited by a shoemaker in an area famous for its leather work for many hundreds of years. Its informal garden is well stocked with flowering shrubs and hardy perennials and the climbing plants are well pruned, though the barn is sadly in need of repair."
