On auction is this detailed SAR train set in like new operational condition. The set consists of: 1x Steam locomotive with water tender. It is an all wheel drive loco, in good running condition with Lima's old style couplers. This unit was fully tested, lubricated and operates well in both directions; 1x SAR ES freight wagon; 1x closed refrigerator wagon; 1x car carrier with double bogeys and plastic wheel sets; 3x plastic model cars that can be loaded on the freight wagon or the car transporter; 1x Taxaco tanker wagon with double bogeys and plastic wheel sets; 2x SAR Brown Passenger wagons with double bogeys and plastic wheel sets; 1x 9V DC battery operated controller.; 1x Oval set of metal tracks with Power adaptor and catalogue. This set is a highly collectable and not regularly available, in this condition. The paintwork and decals are like new. The original box is in very good condition. No corrosion on metal parts. Nothing seem to be broken or missing. This set is as it was packed at the Lima factory 30 years ago. Please see photos for detail for it is part of the description.
