gorgeous little grand piano trinket box by Limoges of France.
Limoges "Gout De Ville"Miniature Piano Trinket Box
Decorated with a romantic picture "Progress Of Love" Fragonard.
Measures approx 4 cm high x 5 cm wide x 7.5 cm long.
This miniature is in a very good condition and has a picture of the painter Fragonard.
It can be used for trinkets, pills, to keep first baby teeth or a lock of hair.
This lovely miniature has no chips or cracks and is made in France.
Fragonard was an artist during the Reign of Louis XV. On request he painted 4 different scenes depicting "The Progress of Love" for Madam Du Barry. Fragonard was removed from the Court when Madame Du Barry didn't like the last painting.
This miniature is in a very good condition and has a picture of the painter Fragonard.
