Linder (Solingen, Germany) Traditional Hunting Nicker Knife with Stag Horn Handle and Sheath.
A quality German traditional hunting nicker knife by renowned maker Linder. The fine quality steel blade is marked "Linder Nicker" and "Solingen, Germany, Inox, Rostfrei". Attractive stag horn handle and accompanied by it's original leather and steel sheath. The sheath is designed to slip deep into a pocket or waistband, leaving only the handle visible. Excellent condition - appears to be unused.
Linder, officially known as Carl Linder Nachf., is a renowned German knifemaker based in Solingen, famously known as the "City of Blades". In 1870 master knifemaker Carl Wilhelm Linder registered his first knife workshop in Solingen, laying the foundation for the brand. Today, Linder is celebrated worldwide for its premium hunting knives, Bavarian stag horn (deer horn) folding and fixed blades, and traditional Bowie knives.
Nicker knives are traditional German/Austrian hunting knives that are usually worn inside the designated knife pocket of traditional Alpine leather pants (Lederhosen).
