This tripod is normally used with a separate tripod head (videohead or camera 3 way head, which fits onto the 3/8 thread screw from the linhof tripod, it is more stable/stronger, that is why it has a 3/8 thread post

I do have manfrotto tripod camera heads here on bobshop as well, which will fit
