Linksys Router - WRT54GL - Open Source

This router is AMAZING. With the standard firmware, it is good but by upgrading it to the firmware available at www.dd-wrt.com (Please note that upgrading the firmware does invalidate any warranty) this router can do incredible stuff. This is the same router that was used to break a distance record for WiFi links.

If you are looking for a great router with brilliant stability etc, this is the one to get. If you want to play a bit and do something fancy, this is the router to get.

NOTE:  This is NOT an ADSL router.  Possible applications for this router are:

  • Connect an iBurst modem to this router
  • Connect a Sentech modem to this router
  • Connect this router to a "non WiFi" ADSL modem to allow wireless capability

For a full writeup on the router, visit the linksys website.

Please note that stock is only cleared once funds have cleared in our accounts.
