Offered for sale is a fine well potted studio ceramic bowl attributed to Linn Ware or The Ceramic Studio and probably dating to the 1930's/40's. The bowl is medium-large with a squat bulbous shape ,circular round foot ring and slightly convex upper rim. The bowl is substantial in weight and has a lovely and dramatic high gloss  transmutation glaze in  mottled earth tones ranging from a vibrant emerald green to a dark chocolate brown. The base is unsigned but has three spur marks from the firing process when the bowl was placed in a kiln for firing and supported by a metal grid. The size is : width of top open aperture 16cm ; width of base 13cm ; width measured across middle of vase 20cm.
