Linn Ware lidded serving bowls (set of three) circa 1940's

Offered for sale is an attractive set of three Linn Ware serving bowls in an unusual pale mauve/mushroom/taupe speckled glaze. The bowls are small and suitable for single/individual sevings. They would be ideal for soup, shellfish or rice based dishes. All three are in good condition . They are hand made items with  short rounded handles attached to the side of the bowls and separate  shallow lids with rounded finials and vent holes for steam. All three pieces are marked on the base ; two with the LW initial painted on to the base in a white oxide glaze and one with the full name  Linn Ware painted on the base also in white oxide glaze. Dimensions are : width including handle 14cm  ; diameter of base 5.2cm  ; diameter of lid 11cm ; height including lid 6cm . These items were made circa 1940 in Cullinan Olifantsfontein on the East Rand at the Linn Ware ceramic studio.
