Offered for sale is a collectible Linn Ware Studio pottery bowl dating to approximately 1940's made in Cullinan Olifantsfontein on The East Rand of Johannesburg. This is a hand made, hand thrown earthenware bowl made from a red bodied clay with an unusual mottled and streaked glaze in a mushroom/taupe/mauve combination colourway. The bowl has the LW  makers mark /abbreviation for Linn Ware studio imprinted into the clay on  the base. This is a small elegant bowl with a circular footring and bulbous body with a wide aperture. Linn Ware ceramics were made by expatriate female potters from the Staffordshire district in the UK .

Postage is R70 via Sapo or  R100 for courier delivery. Collection welcome from Emmerantia Jhb.
