This is an original, one-of-a-kind pentaptych (5 panels) painting by South African Artist, Cherie Roe Dirksen.

Painting Description and Inspiration:

"I enjoy painting pentaptychs — especially when they have to do with a bold and colourful African sunsets.

I've used bold, thick brush-strokes for the sky and have gone in with a delicate, finely detailed black silhouetted landscape that, I feel, makes the painting really come alive and yet leaves something to the imagination.

Of course, the lions (a little 'Simba' included here and a slightly protective mother) as the subject matter just lend the painting a taste of the life teaming in the bushveld.
