This 160-page hardcover book for students in grades 3 through 9 contains a collection of African folktales. Animals stories and fables about about various people and events are included in this collection of tales from the Bantu tribes who live in the southern portion of the African continent. A brief introduction to each of the these African tribes is included in the author's opening remarks. Most of the stories are under 10 pages in length and each has several accompanying black and white illustratins. The author has also provided the reader with a brief history of each folktale.
