Using a remote control signal extender via cable is convenient if a coaxial cable has already been laid from the receiver to the remote TV or if it is planned to be laid.
The device consists of two blocks:
- a transmitter unit from which an infrared receiver is connected to an extension cord, receiving commands from the receiver's infrared remote control
- receiver unit from which the infrared emitter is connected to the extension cord
The transmitter is located where the TV is installed, and the infrared element is attached near the TV.
The receiver unit is located near the satellite receiver, the infrared emitter is attached to the front panel of the satellite receiver. The transmitter and receiver are included in the coaxial cable section connecting the receiver and the TV.
This type of extension cord can be used in conditions where the radio remote control extension cord cannot operate stably.
