Central, slight vertical crease, tear without loss on the fold of the wrapper, some foxing (seen in images). Fair to good condition.

This copy has the name of Major Elsdale, R.E. written at the head of the upper wrap. Elsdale headed up the balloon detachment of the Bechuanaland Field Force.

General Sir Charles Warren's Field Force was exemplary as a modern, highly-organized expeditionary army. This list of officers was printed in Vryburg on a press which the force brought with it from England.

Extraordinarily rare. I bought this item in a family archive in England.
