Pure-Fi Mobile™ FAQ
Logitech® Pure-Fi Mobile™ gives you freedom to share and enjoy the music on your stereo Bluetooth® phone with no wires attached. Plus, integrated microphones and Call/Answer controls allow Pure-Fi Mobile™ to act as a wireless speakerphone.
Pure-Fi Mobile™ uses two advanced 2” active drivers (for full-range audio) and two 2” pressure drivers (for increased bass range). Each has been custom tuned with a preset equalizer setting to ensure the best audio quality possible.
Q: What is Stereo XL™ technology?
A: Stereo XL™ technology is an advanced acoustic feature that significantly enhances your listening experience. Stereo XL™ technology optimizes acoustic levels for the fullest, richest sound. Music sounds louder and “wider” than standard stereo without any reduction in audio quality.
With support for the latest Bluetooth protocol (A2DP), you have the ability to wirelessly stream high quality, digital music from your cell phone to Pure-Fi Mobile™ in full stereo.
Q: What is A2DP Bluetooth or Stereo Bluetooth?
A: A2DP stands for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile. It is a type of Bluetooth wireless technology that allows you to stream music – in stereo – from your A2DP Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.
Q: Is there a difference between “A2DP” and “Stereo Bluetooth”?
A: No. Some manufacturers use the word “stereo” to describe the A2DP Bluetooth protocol.
Q: Will my regular Bluetooth phone (non-A2DP) stream music?
A: You can still use Pure-Fi Mobile™ with a regular Bluetooth phone, but the streamed music will not be in stereo. However, you may also be able to connect using USB or Aux. modes, which are both stereo by default.
Q: How far away can my cell phone be and still stream music?
A: Up to 33 ft. or 10 meters away.
Q: How many Bluetooth devices does Pure-Fi Mobile™ support?
A: You can “pair” up to four devices simultaneously. If a fifth device is paired, Pure-Fi Mobile™ automatically drops the least-used, previously paired device and replaces it with the newly requested one.
Speakerphone with Integrated Microphone Array
Two integrated microphones allow the Logitech® Pure-Fi Mobile™ to be used as a wireless speakerphone. One mic picks up vocal nuances, while the other mic blocks unwanted background noise. Even while listening to music, you can quickly switch to speakerphone mode and answer an incoming call at the touch of a button.
Q: Does Pure-Fi Mobile™ work with SKYPE®?
A: Yes. Pure-Fi Mobile™ will work with most VoIP programs as a speaker and speakerphone. However, controls such as volume, mute, answer, etc., must be controlled from within the application.
Q: Does speakerphone mode work when I’ve connected my PC to Pure-Fi Mobile™ over USB?
A: Yes. When connected over USB, you may use Pure-Fi Mobile™ to listen to music stored on your computer or as a speakerphone.
Q: Do I need to install special software “drivers” on my PC to use Pure-Fi Mobile™ as a USB speaker/speakerphone?
A: No special drivers are needed. Pure-Fi Mobile™ works with the native drivers included with Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X.
Pure-Fi Mobile™ is powered by an integrated, rechargeable battery, so there’s no need to worry about carrying or finding replacements.
Q: What is the battery life of Pure-Fi Mobile™?
A: You can expect 12 hours of continuous play from a full charge.
Q: How do I charge Pure-Fi Mobile™?
A: There are two ways to charge Pure-Fi Mobile™. You can use the included AC adapter plugged into a standard wall outlet, or you can use the included USB cable to draw power from your computer. Both methods use the USB connection on Pure-Fi Mobile™.
