Please note that this speaker system has three output jack (3.5mm headphone), make sure that your device has three headphone jack in order to be able to enjoy the surround sound. 

Connecting just one of the output jacks to your laptop or phone will result in just two speakers + the subwoofer sounding.

Some PCs have three jack output and therefore supports surround sound.
