Long Fiber Sphagnum moss - "Supersphag" - 95ml Fill a 10cm pot (plus a little extra)

• Bought in Bulk - Supersphag is a branded product from New Zealand made from cleaned, chopped, dried and compressed sphagnum moss.
• It makes a light, fluffy moss - a perfect acidic medium either alone or as an ingredient for carnivorous plants and orchids.
• It is weed seed free and the packaging doesn't affect the structure of the moss. Being chopped it makes potting and repotting quick and easy, allowing the moss to settle around the roots.
• We have used Supersphag on its own for windowsill and greenhouse condition plants - in particular to pot Nepenthes, Cephalotus, Venus flytraps, Sundews, Butterworts and some Utricularia with excellent results. Additionally we use it in our Pinguicula, Drosera- and Nepenthes (Monkey Cup) Seedkits and premixes. 
• It is also ideal as an ingredient in any of our carnivore premixes and an excellent medium for starting out your seeds - helping create a light open mix with excellent water retaining properties.
• If you are an orchid grower this is well worth trying and is very popular with orchid growers around the world. For Heliamphora on the carnivore side and Disa orchids and other moisture loving orchids mix with equal quantites of perlite.
• Our Supersphag is sold uncompressed and the packages are still small so it is easy to send small quantities. If kept dry it will keep for years.
• To prepare - Add the contents of the bag to a clean bowl, add the desired amount of distilled or reverse osmosis water and leave it for a couple of hours to expand its volume
• As a guide 500ml water added to 95ml of Supersphag expands enough (with a little extra) to fill a 10cm pot on its own. From us Superspag is available in these 95ml packages - due to the fact that our LFS is imported, we do not stock wholesale quantities
