2. Unusual old Avery scale – made by W&T Avery Ltd, Birmingham. It has “Sole Agents, South African Scale Co Ltd, Capacity/vermoe 15kg” on it. The scale has an error weight of up to 50g on the display, and has a stainless steel scoop. it measures 42cm x 53cm x 20cm and is very heavy. It is old and has some wear to the enamel coating, and the 2 display glasses are cracked but easilt replaceable. It however works quite accurately. 3. Lovely vintage brass precision scale with weights – made in England. I think that this is an English Johnsons of Hendon Postal scale. The scale is made of brass with a wooden base. The base has hollows for weights. Included are 6 weights. The scale measures 9cm x 20cm x 11,5cm, and is in good working condition (needs a good clean). 4. Old Avery scale and 10 weights – 14 pound capacity. The scale has “Trademark W&T Avery Ltd, Estd 1730, Birmingham, England” inscribed on it. It also has a lead stamp with A35 at the fulcrum. It has a copper scoop/ It measures 24cm x 34cm x16cm, and is heavy. It is old and needs a good clean. It is in good working condition. It also has 10 weights ranging from 2lbs down.
