Lot of WW2 Jannie Smuts and Cecil John Rhodes  Centenary Exhibition tins for 1 bid. This lot consists of:

• A WWII Jan Smuts Christmas tin, issued to all serving South African soldiers during WWII. The tin has "Greetings from South Africa, We rely on you and are grateful/ Groete van Suid Afrika, Ons vertrou op jou en ons is dankbaar" on the lid, and "With best wishes from The South African Gifts and Comforts Committee, Christmas 1940/ Met die beste wense van Die Suid Afrikaanse Komitee vir Geriewe en Geskenke, Kersfees 1940" on the inner lid. It has Jannie Smuts embossed on the lid.
• A Cecil John Rhodes Centenary Exhibition born 1853, 1953 tin. The tin is compartmentalised inside. It measures 25cm x 17cm x 5cm.

Both tins are old, and have some wear. Great buy for the collector.
