ENGRAVED; LOUISE BOTHA  RUSTHOF 1906

I HAVE HAD THIS WATCH FOR PLUS MINUS 25 YEARS. AFTER REALISING THE INSCRIPTION I MADE CONTACT WITH THE BOER WAR MUSEUM IN THE FREESTATE. THIS IS THE INFO GIVEN TO ME. 

GENL LOUISE BOTHA AND FAMILY LIVED ON A FARM IN THE FREESTATE CALLED WATERVAL. THEY LEFT  AFTER THE ENGLISH RAIDED AND BURNED DOWN THE FARM. AFTER THE WAR MRS BOTHA DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO THE FARM. SO THEY GOT A FARM IN THE TRANSVAAL CALLED VARKENSPRUIT. NOT HAPPY WITH THE NAME THEY CHANGED IT TO RUSTHOF  WE ALL KNOW HISTORY GENL BOTHA BECAME THE FIRST 1ST PRIME MINISTER. 

WAS THIS ONE OF HIS POCKET WATCHES? THE NAME, THE FARM NAME AND THE DATE FALLS IN LINE WITH THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY WRITTEN BY JOHANNES MEINTJIES. NAMED AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF GENL LOUISE BOTHA. 

THE MUSEUM ASKED ME TO DONATE THE WATCH TO THEM,
