Love for Learning by Saro Naicker

This volume celebrates the life and work of Mrs Saro Naicker who went to prison as a young mother, who soldiered through the testing years of exile in a foreign land and quite late in life graduated with the cherished dream of a university degree. This memoir, meticulously prepared by Canadian academic, Dr Gonam Raju, is a monument to a life dedicated to struggle. Its content is ably complemented by the vast MP Naicker Collection of political documents and artefacts which the family generously donated to the Gandhi-Luthuli Documentation Centre at then University of Durban-Westville, now University of Kwazulu-Natal.
