A fine 'Indian Peony' hexagonal vase, a design introduced by Walter Slater around 1918. Hand enamelled green tree peonies set against a mother-of-pearl lustre background produce a 'brocaded' effect which is very decorative. Vase in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. The gilding is rubbed around the rims, but this is quite standard for these types of ware and doesn't detract from these superb items.
