Lovely oil on canvas/ board painting by Antoinette van der Merwe - child feeding the geese. Antoinette van der Merwe is a much sought after South African artist working and living in Stillbay, Western Cape. With mainly oil paint as a medium, her impressionist paintings have a South African theme – land and seascapes, figure studies, still life, etc. This particular painting is of a child feeding the geese in a field. It is typical of her brightly coloured impressionism. The painting measures 40cm x 30cm, and is in very good condition. The painting not framed. Great buy for your home.
