Lovely oil on canvas/ board painting by Antoinette van der Merwe . Antoinette van der Merwe is a much sought after South African artist working and living in Stillbay, Western Cape. With mainly oil paint as a medium, her impressionist paintings have a South African theme – land and seascapes, figure studies, still life, etc. This particular painting is of 2 little girls playing with their teddy bear and pram on the steps of their house in the Western Cape, with another doll and teddy on the steps. It is typical of her brightly coloured impressionism. The painting measures 40cm x 30cm, and is in very good condition. The painting not framed. Great buy for your home.
