Oil and possibly vinegar, salad dressing. Any liquid I suppose could work in this lovely old pump action can. Even makes a lovely ornament to display in your collection. The part that you push down is not original. This part is missing so a replacement was added on to stop you from hurting your finger while pumping. Otherwise complete, no real damage, clean and still in a lovely condition.
