Dipped Cobalt Blue Jasper Wedgwood vase EXCELLENT Condition, no cracks or crazing that I can see. Fine detail. Rare Union Jack Impression with Potters Mark

Mark: WEDGWOOD (with serifs on font): This mark was used from the very start until about 1930. Sans Serif font was introduced from 1930 onwards. 

Size Code: 1014 (Size codes are found on some items, particularly tea wares, from about 1870 to 1930. These are always divisible by 6, and represent the number of items that went into the kiln on one tray. A size in inches, which would be diameter, height or length of the item, sometimes appears on jasper and basalt items from around 1840.)

1908 Wedgwood added "Made in England" or "England" to its mark for export purposes. This item does not have either, however it has an impression of the Union Jack about the mark so it may have been made in or around that period.

Wedgwood stopped Jasper production in 1941 due to WWII. Resumed from c.1948 - Present again but items were made from solid Jasper only, but this was rougher and hasn't the fine texture of the original body. Jasper Dip is now reserved for prestige and limited edition items.
