LT. Col. John E. Howard is honoured on the seventh in the U.S. Mint's ten-piece series of reproductions of America's first Medals, voted by the Continental Congress to commemorate the decisive military action of the Revolutionary War. The medal was awarded to Lt. Col. Howard for his courageous leadership of the main line bayonet charge at the Battle of Cowpens. The pewter token is approximately 38mm in diameter . Comes in the original holder with a brief history of medal and Lieutenant Colonel John E. Howard.
