AN EXTREMELY RARE ANTIQUE CARVED WOOD AFRICAN STATUE WHICH BASED ENTIRELY UPON THE STYLE AND DESIGN, IS A FEMALE FERTILITY STATUE FROM THE CONGOLESE LUBA TRIBE. THIS STATUE HAS NO FEET AND HAS A FEW SMALL CRACKS IN THE WOOD WHICH IS CERTAINLY COMMENSURATE WITH ITS ADVANCED AGE.

THE STATUE COMES WITH A STURDILY DESIGNED STAND WHICH CONSISTS OF A SOLID TRANSPARENT ACRYLIC BASE FROM WHICH A METAL SHAFT EMERGES. ATTACHED TO THE METAL SHAFT AT THE TOP IS AN ACRYLIC LOOP ARM WHICH THE STATUE THEN FITS SECURELY INTO

I HAVE ADDED LINKS WITH A VARIETY OF AFRICAN & OTHER ARTEFACTS TO PERHAPS ASSIST IN IDENTIFYING THIS ITEMS ORIGIN. THE STATUE IS ANTIQUE AND A DECORATIVE COLLECTABLE PIECE
