The bayonet is stamped "torre annunziatai" and "KM4737" and the Scabbard is stamped "A.R.E 1933"
The blade has been shortened for WW2 service, but the socket is still the larger type to fit on a Vetterli rifle instead of the smaller Carcano Rifle. Many of the Italian Colonial Native troops that South African soldiers in the East Africa Campaign were still using Vetterli Rifles, so this bayonet is likely a war prize taken off one of these Native troops.
