Maasai Spear, metal, vintage, 73 cms long,  with cone attachment to  wood shaft (not present), condition: very good.
The spear is a warrior's most precious possession and they refuse to flee from danger as long as it is close to hand. A symbol of power and strength, this sharp edged weapon    of the mature Maasai Moran or warrior is one of the most distinctive spears in the world with its long, narrow blade.

The Maasai are a Nilotic ethnic group primarily located in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania, known for their unique culture, traditions, and close relationship with their cattle. They are a semi-nomadic people who have retained much of their traditional way of life, despite historical land displacement and modernization efforts.
