Macap is the abbreviation for Macina Caffè Periziol. It was in the year 1930 in the Venitian hinterland - Italy, wherein Ottorino Petiziol officially opened his dedicated mechanical workshop, a business focused on the production of coffee grinders and other equipment for coffee bars.

The industrial-machine making factory was proudly inherited and further developed by second generation brothers Luigi and Antonio, who then passed the brand on to the third and current generation : grandchildren Susanna and Marco. It's in this later stage of the Macap journey that the decades of traditional Venitian craft finds comfort in modern industrialization, and Macap is naturally a name to be reckoned with at the top.
