This Macbook Air has an almost new battery and an upgraded 512GB NVMe SSD.  All parts except the motherboard work. The NVME drive is almost worth the sale price alone. The laptop is in pretty good shape with no scratches on the screen and minimal signs of use on the body.

The required part is a A1466 2017 Logic Board / Motherboard i5 1.8Ghz 8GB 661-08140 - and this is about R2000 new on Ebay and approx R4000 new in South Africa. I purchased a correct replacement motherboard only to be shipped the wrong thing , so I've given up on this repair.  If you are capable of doing board level repair , this machine is a bargain.
