Shelf brackets serve the purpose of creating extra storage space through shelving. They are installed on the wall using appropriate fixings that are suitable for the type of wall and the load capacity that the shelves will need to support. It is important to ensure that the shelf width does not exceed the length of the longest measurement of the bracket, which is always attached to the wall.
When installing shelf brackets, the maximum distance between hole centers of the brackets should not exceed 450mm. Additionally, the brackets should support a maximum weight of 1.5kg for every 100mm that the bracket extends from the wall, including the weight of the actual shelf material used per 450mm. This weight capacity guideline helps ensure the stability and safety of the shelving system.
