The Cobra Automatic Ring Light Macro Flash is the convenient and creative lighting solution for copying documents, medical, dental, nature and small subject photography at short working distances where built-in and conventional flash units are hard to use. Utilizing a circular tube as its light source for just the right amount of illumination, in certain situations, it might even be the only way possible to light your subject. Specifically designed to securely mount to the filter ring of your macro lens and to provide even, shadow free light at close working distances, it will also freeze action so that a frisky beetle or windblown blossom can be photographed as if it were frozen in time. When required, it can also be used off of the lens and aimed, for creative lighting control or when shadow free images are not desired. Unlike other ring lights that require a bulky and heavy power supply to be mounted to your camera's hot shoe, the Macro Flash is self contained and economically and efficiently powered by only two AA size alkaline, NiCad or NiMH batteries. You don't even have to remember to turn the flash off as Auto-Off circuitry is built-in to prolong battery life. This versatile macro flash can mount to almost any digital or film SLR lens made via the supplied 52mm and 55mm adapter rings or other optionally available rings from most camera stores. Optimized to prevent vignetting with most lenses having a filter size of 58mm or smaller, these optional adapter rings should be available in sizes from 43mm through 77mm. A coiled pc cord and hotshoe to pc adapter are also supplied enabling the Macro Flash to be used with almost any digital or film camera with a hotshoe or standard pc socket.
