Magic Earth Water Green Moss (Sphagnum Moss) 2L

An excellent substrate that reduces pH and also removes a certain amount of Ca and Mg in a similar manner to a sodium exchange water softener.

Dried sphagnum moss doesnt require a substrate layer but can do well on a number of surfaces. Soil should be saturated in the water allowing the moss to consistently hydrate. If being placed in a terrarium where there isnt a direct source of constant water, sphagnum will do just fine retaining water for a period of time on its own. Just remember to mist when moss becomes noticeably dry. Due to this plants elastic cell structure, it can hold almost 20 times its dry weight in the water Making it an extremely effective substrate for other plants to maintain hydration.
