HE WAS A GRAND MASTER ARTIST, AND WENT UNDER THE NAME ZHARA YAHKOV AS HIS NOM DE GUERRE, FOR SOME TIME. HIS ART CAREER SPANNED OVER 50 YEARS, AND IT HAS EARNED HIM A REPUTATION OF HIGH INTERNATIONAL RESPECT.

HE LIVED IN PORT SHEPSTONE UP UNTIL THREE YEARS AGO, WHEN HE MOVED TO KNYSNA WITH HIS WIFE AND SIX CHILDREN. THE FAMILY IS RELATED TO THE LATE, GREAT SOUTH AFRICAN ARTIST, PIERNEEF.
